Waltham Forest’s partnership with Academy FC continued for the 2015-16 season. The inner-London based system fielding teams from under 13 to under 17, carrying Forest’s name.
Finished a credible third in the Essex EJA division, behind Ryan and Barkingside. They amassed 46 points from 22 games, losing just four times.
They finished their season with a 9-1 demolition of Redbridge, their biggest victory of the season.
They made the semi-final of the Patrons cup, but lost 3-2 to Aveley.
Steady would be a way to describe the Under 14s’ season. They finished 4th in their Essex division, having won 5, drawn 5 and lost 4.
They made it to the semi-final of the league Challenge Cup, before eventually losing 3-2 to AFC Hornchurch.
Forest field two sides at under 15, one in the Essex Division, one in the London.
The Essex side struggled, winning four but losing nine, finishing second-bottom of their division.
The London XI fared slightly better, winning five of their 16 games to finish sixth in their division.
A good season for the Under 17s was sealed with a third-placed finish, winning 13 of their 19 games.
They were the third Forest youth side to reach a cup semi final, but they lost their Coleman Cup semi 4-2 to Chelmsford City.
The Under 17s also represented Forest in the FA Youth Cup (at Under 18 level), but were comprehensively beaten 9-1 by Chelmsford City.
