Forest play third second pre-season friendly this Tuesday with the visit of Manford Way. Forest will be looking to build on a 3-1 defeat to Wembley at the weekend.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs. Manford Way have been playing in the Premier Division of the Essex Olympian League since 2008, where they finished 4th last season, after a best-ever second-place finish last time around.
The Hainault-based club beat Toby 4-1 at the weekend, and have made some notable signings so far this pre-season in the form of Tyler Jalland, Reece Tranter and Tom Herbert, who all have experience at higher levels than the Olympian.
Despite the geographical proximity of the two clubs, there are very few players who have worn both sets of colours.
Former Leyton Pennant front-man Che Stadhart had two spells at Manford Way during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, while midfielder Stuart Houghton scored six goals in 39 appearances between 2013 and 2015.
Stadhart has also been seen playing for Manford Way’s Veterans side.
