This Saturday, Forest host Woodford Town 2017 in game three of the Essex Senior League Groundhop. Our game follows on from Redbridge against Burnham Ramblers. For those who are visiting the ground for the first time, we’ve put together a handy guide.

What’s the ground’s address?

Wadham Lodge
Kitchener Road
Walthamstow
London
E17 4LL (note – the ground’s actual postcode is E17 4JP, but this will take you to an inaccessible ground entrance)

How do I get to the ground from Redbridge?

Unfortunately, the League’s agreed kick off times mean you’ll miss at least 15 minutes of either ours or Redbridge’s match if using public transport. The quickest route is to get the Central Line, Westbound from Redbridge to Gants Hill, then the 123 bus from Gants Hill (stop CN) to Thorpe Coombe Hospital (stop BS). It is then a 10 minute walk down Spruce Hills Road, onto Sturge Avenue and eventually Kitchener Road. You can use this Google Map for more information.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is ample parking in the Wadham Lodge car park. Should the car park become full, the surrounding streets are free from parking restrictions.

How much is to get in?

Adults: £7
Concessions: £4 (Students, unemployed, armed forces (active and veterans), pensioners, NHS staff)
Children under 16: Free

Programme?

Most certainly. We produce a 28-page full colour programme, full of original and unique content. It is modestly priced at £1.

Grub?

We have a burger van in the ground, offering all the usual football fare. Our clubhouse, selling the usual lager and snacks is just before you come through the turnstiles.

Still thirsty?

The Dog & Duck is the closest pub to the ground, and has recently been refurbished. It offers good food and a selection of local and more well-known beers. Further into Walthamstow, The Bell and Mirth, Marvel and Maud are both highly recommended.

I’ve heard you’re fundraising, is there anything I can do?

Our supporters will be out with the fundraising buckets on Saturday, and any spare change would be most gratefully received. If you’d like to donate online, where you can claim rewards like match tickets and programmes, please visit our Indiegogo page here.
