Abraham was the bother of Sam, two players who have featured quite consistently in local over the last few years.

Abraham only made four appearances for Forest, despite seemingly being around the club for far longer than that.

His first prolonged taste of senior football came at Barking, where he made 29 appearances in the 2007-8 season.

He made his Waltham Forest debut against Redbridge under Ged Searson in the second game of the 2008-9 season, after being an unused substitute in the opener. He made three more substitute appearances, the last of which came against Redbridge in the FA Cup.

Finding playing time tough to come by, he went back to Barking, before signing for Ilford at the start of the following season. Here, he joined up with his brother and other familiar faces like Danny Gabriel and Sham Darr, under the stewardship of Colin Walton.

During this time, he was playing regular Sunday football with one of the Hackney & Leyton League’s strongest teams, Clapton Rangers.

A further spell at Barking followed, and in the 2011-12 season, Abraham joined Newham United.

Between 2012 and 2014, he appeared to take some time out of senior football, but returned for two spells, again with Newham United.

Newham’s folding meant Abraham followed his brother and many other former Newham players to Bishop’s Stortford Swifts, here he remains playing at the time of writing.
