Forest took the lead on 19 minutes when Adar Turgut managed to bundle the ball home in a crowded goal area. Both teams were then engaged in a midfield battle for dominance where chances were few and far between. Wheatleys forced a corner on 39 minutes are the ball was cleared to the edge of the area where Jason Gibbs volleyed an unstoppable shot past Ismet Turkoglu to level things up.

Baki Suruk and Nic Catoun were dominant in defense for Forest, while up front they squandered chances. Turgut restored Forest’s advantage on 65 minutes with another close range effort, and Ferhat Yavuz added a third on 68 minutes when his low long-range drive beat Wheatleys’ keeper Mark Mears at the far post. Victory was confirmed on 74 minutes when Hidir Aslan drove home from the edge of the box for a 4-1 scoreline.

Forest now meet Railway Athletic in the semi-final on 4th February at Wadham Lodge, kick-off 10.30.
