Manager Ryan Maxwell added three players to his squad last night ahead of Saturday’s derby with Wadham Lodge.

Rheo Josephs, who scored four times in 22 games last season – including a fine goal against Folkestone Invicta in the FA Cup returns after two spells with Ware.

Speaking to the club’s website, Maxwell said “Rheo’s Attitude is fantastic. He’s a super quick, left footed, dangerous player. One on one he’s hard to stop. I rang him once and he’s immediately come down.

Harry Morgan joins on loan from Heybridge Swifts. The midfielder has made almost 50 appearances for Chelmsford City in the National League South, as well as establishing himself in the Maldon & Tiptree and Heybridge Swifts first teams this season.

And Maxwell was delighted to get his man: “He’s a fantastic signing – played 30 games in the Conference South, and he’s well thought of there. He’s had four offers in the Ryman League. Jody [Brown] has entrusted me to continue his development.”

Finally, the experienced forward Paul Scott joins the club. Scott played with Maxwell at Whyteleafe, where the strong striker established himself as something of a club legend. He’s got an extensive non-league CV, including spells with AFC Wimbledon, Tooting & Mitcham United and Maidenhead United (where he played alongside former Leyton Pennant striker Adrian Allen).
