Forest manager, Ryan Maxwell has decided that the Club’s future rests on the young players at the younger players. He told us, “Since coming to the club I have had to build a team from scratch, with many of the First Team squad walking out within minutes of the previous manager being relieved of his duties.” He felt that the first matches under his control have been very much like pre-season friendlies where players needed to be bedded in and get used to the way he wants them to play.

Maxwell went on, “We have some excellent young players at the club and they will get us enough points to avoid relegation and build for next season. But, let’s be honest, we have a very important match on Saturday where three points are imperative. We have started cold in the last two matches, we need to make sure this doesn’t happen again. To come out in the second half and score two goals, in that situation is good. We could have won on Wednesday and I believe we have more goals in us. It was great to see Scottie getting his first goal for the club and his experience and great attitude should be a lesson for the younger players.
