Forest's former home, Wadham Lodge

The long-promised return home to Wadham Lodge of Waltham Forest is off.

Club secretary Tony Brazier told Guardian Series Sport that the owners of the facility, in Kitchener Road, Walthamstow, had refused to provide Forest FC with a lease.

Brazier claimed that the club had been forced out by the presence of Mauritius Sports and Wadham Lodge FC there.

No spokesman for owners Matchday Centres (MDC) was available to explain the decision which has cast more uncertainty over the club.

Another year lodging at Ilford FC's ground at Cricklefields in Ilford, seems a likely outcome for Forest.
